How do I set a custom fee for BSC tokens?

As of version 2.45.1 you can adjust the network fee for BSC and all BSC tokens in Atomic Wallet. The same feature is available for BTC, LTC, ETH, and ERC 20 tokens

The total transaction fee is Gas limit multiplied by Gas price.

What is Gas limit and Gas price?

Gas limit is the total amount of units of gas you are willing to spend on the transaction. This limit is predefined in the network and depends on the contract you are sending funds to, for example.

Gas price is the price you are willing to pay for each unit of gas. You can set the price higher or lower and this will affect how fast your transaction will be executed. The higher the price – the faster the transaction.

Should I adjust Gas price or Gas limit?

Adjusting gas limit is only useful if you are sending to a heavy smart contract. You can set the gas limit higher in this case, at around 150 000. All unused gas will return to your address. We don’t recommend lowering the gas limit. The default gas limit is 21,000.

As for the gas price, when you set a higher gas price, it means your transaction will be processed sooner. Too low and your transaction won’t go through. Gas price affects how quickly your transaction is processed, and transactions with higher gas prices are processed faster. You can see the estimated time of the transaction completion in the wallet. Choosing a gas price means finding the middle ground between the speed of the transaction and how much you are willing to pay.
