AWC Token Update: BEP2 → BEP20

AWC has transitioned from BEP2 to BEP20. In this article, we explain what changed, what it means for you, and what actions (if any) are required.

Contents

Overview

The BEP2 version of AWC is no longer supported.

AWC is now available only as a BEP20 token on BNB Smart Chain.

Atomic Wallet is a non-custodial wallet:

  • You control your funds;
  • All transactions happen on-chain;
  • Atomic Wallet does not manage token recovery.

Why BEP2 is no longer supported

Binance Chain (BEP2 / Beacon Chain) has been phased out in favor of BNB Smart Chain (BEP20).

As a result:

  • BEP2 infrastructure is no longer actively supported;
  • New integrations and tokens are deployed on BSC.

What changed

  • AWC BEP2 is no longer supported in Atomic Wallet;
  • AWC now operates as a BEP20 token on BSC;
  • Cashback rewards in Atomic Wallet are now distributed in BEP20 AWC.

What you will see in the wallet

BEP2 AWC:

  • May no longer appear;
  • May appear as unsupported/legacy asset.

BEP20 AWC:

  • Appears under BNB Smart Chain;
  • Uses BSC network.

What to do

  • Use BEP20 network only;
  • Ensure you have BNB for transaction fees.

If you still have BEP2 AWC

Important:

  • Atomic Wallet does NOT support BEP2 anymore;
  • There is NO in-app migration.

If a migration period existed:

  • It may already be closed.

Recovery options are extremely limited or unavailable.

Do NOT rely on unknown third-party services.

How to verify AWC BEP20

  1. Open a BNB Smart Chain explorer (BscScan);
  2. Check the official AWC BEP20 contract:
    https://bscscan.com/token/0x798aF7725376765e7F3cA86d5e0Cf1BEaEf19F34;
  3. Enter your wallet address;
  4. Verify token balance.

Make sure:

  • Token is on BEP20 (BSC);
  • Contract address matches the official AWC contract.

Troubleshooting

AWC not visible

  • Check correct network (BSC);
  • Add the token manually using the official AWC BEP20 contract address;
  • Verify via explorer.

Transaction failed

  • Ensure sufficient BNB for fees.

Sent to wrong network

Recovery depends on the receiving platform (for example, exchange or wallet provider).

  • If sent to an exchange:
    • Contact their support — recovery may be possible.
  • If sent to a non-custodial wallet:
    • Recovery is usually not possible unless you control the receiving private keys.

In many cases, recovery is not possible.

Important notes

  • Sending tokens via the wrong network may result in permanent loss;
  • Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed.
