Can I buy crypto with my credit card?
If you aren't sure if your credit card can be used to buy crypto, contact your bank and make sure:
- You can use your card for international transactions,
- You have enough money on your balance for the transaction,
- Your card is part of the 3D Secure program, and
- Your bank allows cryptocurrency transactions.
Some countries explicitly ban crypto purchases, so if your payment fails, make sure crypto is legal in your location.
Note that credit card crypto orders aren't available in the countries listed here:
Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, China, Congo Democratic Republic (Kinshasa), Cote d'Ivoire, Croatia, Cuba, Democratic People's Republic of, Korea, Gibraltar, Haiti, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Monaco, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Namibia, Nigeria, Palestinian Territory, Panama, Philippines, Region of Crimea, Region of Donetsk, Region of Luhansk, Russian Federation, Senegalm Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, North Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, Zimbabwe.
Crypto orders are also banned in Hawaii, USA and New York, USA.
Tip: If your transaction is canceled, you won't be charged. The amount you sent will be frozen by your bank and returned to your account within 3 business days (depending on your bank's policy).
