How to Troubleshoot a Specific Transaction Hash in Atomic Wallet
If you've sent cryptocurrency from your Atomic Wallet but the transaction isn't appearing in the recipient's wallet, seems stuck, or you're unsure of its status, the key to understanding what happened is your transaction hash — also called a transaction ID or TxID. This unique identifier lets you track your transaction directly on the blockchain and determine exactly what to do next.

What can cause transaction issues
- Network congestion. High traffic on a blockchain can leave transactions pending for longer.
- Insufficient fees. If the fee was too low, miners may prioritize higher-fee transactions, leaving yours pending or eventually failing.
- Blockchain delays. The network itself can experience temporary delays or sync issues.
- Incorrect address. Sending to a wrong or invalid address usually results in a failed transaction — or permanent loss if confirmed to an active but incorrect address.
- Wallet synchronization. Your wallet may temporarily be out of sync with the blockchain, showing an outdated status.
Step 1: Locate your transaction hash
A transaction hash is a unique string of letters and numbers that identifies your transaction on the blockchain — like a receipt for your transfer.
- Open Atomic Wallet.
- Go to the History tab.
- Find the specific transaction you're investigating and click it.
- Find the entry labeled TxID or Transaction Hash and copy it.
Step 2: Look it up on a block explorer
A block explorer is a website that lets you view all transactions and blocks on a specific blockchain.
- Open your browser and go to the relevant explorer for your cryptocurrency — for example, Etherscan for Ethereum, BscScan for BNB Smart Chain, or Blockchair for Bitcoin and many others.
- Paste your copied transaction hash into the search bar.
- Press Enter to view the transaction's details and status.
Step 3: Interpret the status and act on it
The block explorer will show your transaction in one of three states. Here's what each means and what to do.
Pending / Unconfirmed
The transaction has been broadcast to the network but has not yet been included in a block — it's waiting for confirmation.
- Wait. Depending on congestion, confirmations can take minutes or hours.
- Check network status. Look for news or a status page for that blockchain to see if there are known issues or high congestion.
- Do not resend the same transaction. Sending again can lead to double-spending or further complications.
Confirmed / Success
The transaction has been successfully processed and added to the blockchain. The funds have left your wallet and are on their way to the recipient.
- If the recipient hasn't received the funds, ask them to double-check their receiving address and make sure their wallet is synchronized.
- Confirmed transactions cannot be reversed by Atomic Wallet.
Failed / Dropped
The transaction could not be processed — usually due to insufficient fees, congestion, or an error in the transaction details.
- Your funds should still be in your Atomic Wallet.
- Review the transaction details for errors, such as an incorrect address or insufficient balance to cover fees.
- You can try the transaction again, using a slightly higher fee if the previous failure was caused by a low fee.

What Atomic Wallet can and cannot do

- Guarantee transaction success, as this depends on the blockchain network and fees.
