How to Troubleshoot When Your Atomic Wallet Balance is Not Showing
Sometimes you may open Atomic Wallet and notice that your balance for a specific asset is not showing correctly, or appears as zero, even though you expect to have funds. This can be concerning, but it is usually caused by common technical issues rather than a loss of funds. Your assets are always stored on the blockchain — not within the wallet application itself.

Why your balance might not appear
Several factors can cause a balance to display incorrectly:
- Checking a different wallet address than the one that received the funds.
- Delays in blockchain synchronization, where the wallet hasn't yet registered the latest transactions.
- An outdated application version with connectivity issues to blockchain nodes.
- Temporary network congestion or issues with the block explorer used by the wallet.
- A transaction that is still pending confirmation on the blockchain.
Step 1: Verify the correct wallet address
The most common reason for a missing balance is checking the wrong address. Each cryptocurrency in your Atomic Wallet has a unique receiving address.
- Go to the Receive tab for the specific cryptocurrency you expect to see funds in.
- Carefully compare this address with the address you (or the sender) used to send the funds. Make sure every character matches.
If the funds were sent to a different address, they will not appear in your current wallet.
Step 2: Check the transaction on a block explorer
If the address is correct, the next step is to confirm the transaction directly on the blockchain.
- Copy your receiving address from the Receive tab in Atomic Wallet.
- Open a reliable block explorer for that cryptocurrency — for example, etherscan.io for Ethereum, bscscan.com for BNB Smart Chain, or blockchain.com for Bitcoin.
- Paste your address into the explorer's search bar.
- Review the transaction history and look for the incoming transaction you are expecting.
Note: If the transaction is visible and confirmed on the block explorer, your funds are safely on the blockchain and the issue is only with the wallet's display — continue to Step 3. If the transaction is not there, it may not have been sent successfully, or it was sent to a different address.
Step 3: Make sure Atomic Wallet is updated and synced
An outdated app or a synchronization issue can prevent your wallet from displaying the correct balance.
- Check for updates. Go to the Settings tab and look for an update option, or visit the official Atomic Wallet website to download the latest version.
- Restart the application. Close Atomic Wallet completely and reopen it. This often forces a re-synchronization with the blockchain.
- Refresh balances. Click the refresh icon next to the balance, or switch between coin tabs to trigger a refresh.
- Check your internet connection. A stable connection is essential for the wallet to sync with the blockchain.
Step 4: Contact support with transaction details
If you have followed all the steps above, confirmed the transaction on a block explorer, and the balance still isn't showing, please contact Atomic Wallet support at support@atomicwallet.io. Include the following details:
- The specific cryptocurrency (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
- Your receiving address for that cryptocurrency.
- The transaction ID (TXID) from the block explorer — this is crucial for us to investigate.
- Screenshots of your wallet showing the missing balance and the block explorer showing the confirmed transaction, if possible.
What Atomic Wallet can and cannot do
Atomic Wallet can:
- Help you troubleshoot synchronization issues with the application.
- Guide you through verifying transactions on block explorers.
- Assist in identifying potential user errors, such as checking the wrong address.
- Provide steps to ensure your wallet is running optimally.
Atomic Wallet cannot:
- Recover funds sent to an incorrect or non-existent address. Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it is irreversible.
- Directly manipulate or "push" transactions on the blockchain. As a non-custodial wallet, your funds are on the blockchain, not stored by us.
- Access your private keys or backup phrase. We cannot restore your wallet if you lose these.
- Reverse or cancel confirmed blockchain transactions.
