My Atomic Wallet is displaying a blank screen

Warning: Do not clear cache or remove any local data if your wallet freezes on launch! Otherwise, you'll risk losing your data and money.

The blank screen is caused by a bug found in the latest version of Atomic Wallet. Your funds are safe! This bug will be fixed in the upcoming update. Right now, you'll need to export your encrypted 12-word backup phrase.

  1. Open your Command prompt. One way to do this is pressing + R on your keyboard and typing cmd into the prompt that'll open. Alternatively, just search for "Command prompt."
  2. Copy and paste set DEBUG=true into your command prompt. Press Enter.
  3. Next, paste this command, replacing [USERNAME] with your actual user name. "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Programs\atomic\Atomic Wallet.exe"
    Press Enter.
  4. Go to the Application tab in the top panel.

  5. Click Local storage on the left sidebar to expand the menu and click file://.

  6. Type general into the search bar and click general_mnemonic.
  7. Copy the value of your encrypted 12-word backup phrase. Save it in a safe place. (For example, a password manager.)

Warning: Do not try to decrypt your phrase via online services. Since this exposes your backup phrase to the service's owner, you risk losing your money.

  1. Open your Terminal. One way to do this is searching for Terminal using Spotlight Spotlight.
  2. Copy and paste export DEBUG=true
/Applications/Atomic\ Wallet.app/Contents/MacOS/Atomic\ Wallet into your terminal. Press Enter.
  3. Go to the Application tab in the top panel.

  4. Click Local storage on the left sidebar to expand the menu and click file://.

  5. Type general into the search bar and click general_mnemonic.
  6. Copy the value of your encrypted 12-word backup phrase. Save it in a safe place. (For example, a password manager.)
